An individualized evaluation designed to determine if an augmentative communication device or other strategies could improve a child's overall communication skills. Our AAC specialist has expertise in the assessment and treatment of children with complex communication disorders who benefit from Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) interventions. A thorough AAC intervention involves careful feature matching to determine the most appropriate approaches, devices, and/or apps to support communication for children who are non-spreaking, have limited spoken speech, or speech that is difficult to understand. ADVANCED TRAINING IN STORY GRAMMAR MARKER
Our therapists have completed an intense training on the use of Story Grammar Marker and Braidy. These research based methodologies are used to help children with their narrative development. 'ListenLoveLearn' PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN WITH AUDITORY PROCESSING AND LISTNEING DISORDERS
Many children with Auditory Processing and Listening Disorders do not receive the specific and specialized treatment they deserve. Our therapists have been personally trained by Lois Heymann, M.A., CCC-SLP on the 'ListenLoveLearn' program; a structured process to help develop a child's listening skills, leading to major improvements in language, academic and social skills. We have the advanced training and clinical knowledge to target specific listening skills that these children need in order to understand language, communicate effectively, read and socially interact with others. PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets)
PROMPT is a multi-sensory approach to speech production disorders. It may be used to treat a variety of speech production disorders, for children ages 6 months old to adults. PROMPT may be used to teach sound production, revise or change production or to integrate motor production within language therapy. Many of our therapists have completed training from the PROMPT Institute and are therefore able to effectively use these techniques in therapy.
